Fourteen years ago, we started building real estate web solutions because we felt that the Internet was going to one day be the primary means of providing information in the world. We tracked success based on repeat visitors finding that listings information was the primary draw. We spent our time perfecting listing searches based on human feedback. We could see that one day, print would take a backseat to the Internet for our news and information.

Three Years Ago

Three years ago we started to see variations in site traffic that did not follow the seasonal norms. We correctly predicted the current economic climate. Instead of hunkering down, we went on the offensive.

• We changed our pricing to reflect the market. If you hurt, we hurt. When you succeed, we succeed. We wanted to be just as hungry to succeed as you are.
• We spent a lot of money to build a new Intranet website designed to be the platform for a mobile office.
• We prepared for a paperless, Internet-based marketing program.
• We paid experts to teach us search engine optimization.
• We spent our time and money testing solutions to see what worked in a the down economy.

Today

2009 will be looked back as the year that the Michigan real estate industry fundamentally changed how it does business.
